Delara Alviri

Biography

Delara Alviri is an Iranian-American artist born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee whose work reflects her multicultural background and her love of life (the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful). Her style is a cross between editorial high fashion and surrealism, often using dark themes and contrasts. She is a versatile artist who uses various mediums to express her creativity, including painting, video, styling, curation, jewelry design, and creative direction.

As a curator and creative director, Delara Alviri has a keen eye for aesthetics and is known for her ability to create immersive experiences that engage the viewer on multiple levels. Her work is often characterized by its vivid colors, bold shapes, and use of natural materials. As a creative director, Delara is known for her ability to create immersive environments that transport the viewer to another world. She has curated several exhibitions that showcase her own work alongside that of other artists, creating a dialogue between different mediums and styles.

Delara's paintings are vibrant and expressive, often featuring abstract and surrealist compositions that convey a sense of movement and energy. She pulls you into her world of love and loss and every human experience in between. Her titles leave hints into the symbolism but not too much as to lose the sense of mystery.

She is also a licensed attorney in the state of California. She is an advocate of the arts from both a business and personal perspective.

Delara's Instagram (@delara.esq) and TikTok (@delara.mp4) feeds are a testament to her creative vision, with carefully curated story highlights that showcase her aesthetic sensibility and her love of life. From her stunning paintings to her mesmerizing videos, Delara Alviri is an artist who is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible individually and as a community.

Wild Era Collection Artist Statement

Delara Alviri created the Wild Era collection in November 2020 after witnessing many "wild" personal and political events throughout the offbeat year. After taking the California BAR Exam in October, she immediately began designing and creating the collection as a cathartic means of escape. Putting an emphasis on the "wild nature of life," she brought a new perspective to the design of sunglasses. The final collection includes 50 one-of-a-kind, handmade sunglasses embodying many aquatic and safari animals, butterflies, and crystal piercings in hopes of seeing brighter years to come.
